106.5 The Arch got their “jig” on at the 41st Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Downtown St. Louis on Saturday 3/13. Although it was a cold day, the parade had over 120 units including bands, large helium-filled balloons, and over 5,000 marchers.
This annual St. Louis event is one of the top parades in the country, and the largest and most attended event in Downtown St. Louis. 106.5 The Arch was the Parade Media Sponsor, along with Bonneville St. Louis sister stations 92.3 WIL and 101 ESPN.
2010 was the first year that 106.5 The Arch participated, but the crew came out to WOW the crowds with their float – the Arch van all decked out in Arch Beer Goggles! Arch on-air hosts Al Hofer, Rick Wallace and Christy Swyers handed out candy and walked the parade route along side the Arch van, while Van Lorenz emceed the parade from Broadway and Market Streets.
