An iHeartMedia sales veteran who joined predecessor company Clear Channel in May 1998 and has been associated with iHeart’s Three Rivers properties for the last 19 years is relocating to the “Virginia-Carolina Region.”

Drew Salamon makes the transition to Region VP/Sales for iHeart’s Virginia-Carolina area after holding a similar role for the company’s Pittsburgh Region. Before that, he served as SVP/Sales specifically for iHeart’s Pittsburgh station group, and prior to that as Director of Sales.

The iHeartMedia Virginia/Carolina Region is comprised of 54 radio stations and is overseen by Dave Carwile, who serves as the region’s President. The region includes iHeart’s Charlotte, Richmond and Raleigh-Durham stations, among others in the territory.

Salamon will oversee all sales efforts in the region, including on-air and digital sales, promotions and live event sponsorships. He will be based out of Charlotte.

“Drew is a natural leader and has a proven track record of success in this role,” said Carwile.  “His experience in iHeartMedia’s Pittsburgh Region, oversight of sales efforts with [the] Pittsburgh Steelers Radio Network and Pittsburgh Penguins Radio Network, and his tremendous passion for helping clients grow their business makes Drew the perfect choice for this important role.”

Salamon added, “The Virginia Carolina team is one of the best in the country. I look forward to working with the team and helping our advertising partners connect with their communities and grow their businesses.”
