U.S. financial markets ended on a mixed note as Amazon tumbled some 2.5% in Friday’s trading, to $1,020.04 per share, on high volume.
The dip came on word that the company reported a tremendous miss on its Q2 earnings, with earnings per share of 40 cents. EPS of $1.42 was expected, according to a consensus estimate from Thomson Reuters.
Meanwhile, lower adjusted net income and station operating income hurt Entercom on Wall Street, with ETM shares finishing the week down 4.1%, to $9.88.
A rebound continued for Saga Communications shares, as a 15-cent jump brought SGA shares to $39.50.
