A Fine Finish To A Weak Week For Media Stocks

There was lots of green for media companies on Wall Street today, as the Dow Jones Industrial Average surged 141.82, to 20,804.84, and the Nasdaq Composite increased by 28.57, to 6,083.70.


Key climbers include TEGNA, which gained 60 cents, to $22.90, and Sinclair Broadcast Group, which advanced by 80 cents, to $33.10.

Salem Media Group improved by 15 cents, to $7.10, as the company after market close announced the closing of its previously announced private offering of $255 million aggregate principal amount of senior secured notes due 2024.
