On Sept. 26 RBR +TVBR  told you that after 23 years at the helm of Salem Media Group‘s Philadelphia clusterRuss Whitnah had announced his retirement as VP/GM.

On Wednesday, Whitnah’s successor was named.

Across town, Beasley Media Group set its new Market Manager for its Philadelphia cluster, and it’s a former company executive known for his sales and management efforts in Miami. He replaces John Fullam, a former Greater Media VP and CBS Radio President/COO.

At Salem, Gregg Stiansen has been appointed GM for its Philadelphia duo: Christian Talk & Teaching WFIL-AM and News/Talk WNTP-AM. Stiansen will officially succeed Whitnah on Dec. 31.

Stiansen was previously with Nassau Media LLC, as VP/Sales & Operations for the print media company born out of the former Nassau Broadcasting, where he spent 19 years and was an SVP until that company’s dissolution in 2013.

“Out of an excellent field of men and women interested in this opportunity, we are convinced Gregg has the experience and background we need for this important market,” Salem SVP Allen Power said.

Meanwhile at Beasley’s Philly cluster, Joe Bell has been selected to succeed Fullam.

From Bell served as VP/Market Manager for WKIS (Kiss Country), WPOW (Power 96) and WQAM in Miami, then under Beasley ownership.

“It’s tremendously exciting to return to Beasley Media to work with the greatest radio brands in Philadelphia,” Bell said. “Beasley is experiencing tremendous expansion and I look forward to once again being a part of it!”

Company President Bruce Beasley added, “Joe made us proud as he served at the helm of our Miami cluster in charge of an iconic heritage sports station, WQAM, in addition to his experience with major personalities at Power 96 and Miami’s Kiss Country. As our company has grown, we have benefited tremendously from Joe’s successful team management skills.  Joe will hit the ground running in Philly!”
