A Record Finish For The Dow


U.S. financial markets enjoyed a robust day on Wall Street Tuesday, with the Dow Jones Industrial Average closing at a new record by climbing 72.80 points, to 21,963.92. The Nasdaq composite was up 14.81 points, to 6,362.94.

Pacing media stocks on Tuesday were Nexstar Media Group, which continued its current growth trend with a 2.1% gain, to $66.80.

Also gaining ground is Beasley Broadcast Group, which saw investors give their seal of approval to the company’s Q2 earnings by buying shares. BBGI finished the day up 5.7%, to $11.10.

Decliners include Emmis Communications, which lost 4.1% to finish at $2.83.
