ABC’s Regular Lineup Draws the Net’s Largest Audience on the Night in 5 Weeks.


“No Ordinary Family” is Up Over its Most-Recent Telecast By 7% in Viewers and 10% in Adults 18-49. 

“DWTS: The Results” is No. 1 in the 9 O’clock Hour in Viewers and Young Adults.

“Detroit 1-8-7” Beats NBC’s “Parenthood” in Total Viewers and Adults 25-54,
Outdrawing the NBC Drama in Viewers for the 7th Consecutive Telecast.

Tuesday Night (8:00-11:00 p.m.)
Finishing No. 2 on the evening (10.9 million) to CBS, ABC drew its biggest overall audience on the night with its regular lineup since 10/5/10.

“No Ordinary Family” (8:00-9:00 p.m.)
Up over its most-recent telecast two weeks ago in viewers (+7%) and young adults (+10%), ABC freshman “No Ordinary Family” outdrew time-period veteran, the first hour of “The Biggest Loser,” by 1.3 million viewers (7.9 million vs. 6.6 million) and matched the NBC unscripted series in Adults 18-49 (2.2/6).  The ABC freshman series also topped “The Biggest Loser” by solid margins in Adults 25-54, across all key Men (M18-34/M18-49/M25-54) and among Teens 12-17.  “No Ordinary Family” gained audience throughout its broadcast during Tuesday’s highly-competitive 8 o’clock hour against Fox’s original “Glee” and CBS’ top-rated “NCIS,” building by 7% in Total Viewers (7.6 million to 8.1 million) and by 10% in Adults 18-49 (2.1/6 to 2.3/6) from its first half-hour to its second half-hour.  “No Ordinary Family” drew its biggest audience in 5 weeks – since 10/5/10

“Dancing with the Stars the Results Show” (9:00-10:01 p.m.)
Winning its 9 o’clock time period in viewers (17.0 million) and young adults (3.4/9), ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars the Results Show” attracted its largest audience in the hour in 6 weeks and posted its top Adult 18-49 rating in 4 weeks – since 9/28/10 and 10/12/10, respectively.  Former NFL star Kurt Warner was the eighth celebrity to be eliminated from the ABC dance competition this season.  “DWTS the Results Show” registered as the 2nd-most-watched TV show on Tuesday, behind only “CBS’ NCIS.”

The ABC dancing results show continues to trend ahead of its year-ago performance, up on average this season by 2.6 million viewers (17.1 million vs. 14.5 million) and by 16% in
Adults 18-49 (3.6/9 vs. 3.1/8) from the same point a year ago.

“Detroit 1-8-7” (10:01-11:00 p.m.)
Returning after it preemption the prior week for election coverage, ABC’s “Detroit 1-8-7” once again ranked as the 2nd-most-watched TV show in the 10 o’clock hour, outdrawing NBC’s sophomore drama, “Parenthood,” for the 7th consecutive telecast (+2.6 million viewer advantage – 7.6 million vs. 5.0 million).  The ABC drama also topped its NBC drama competition with Adults 25-54 for the 6th time in 7 telecasts this season, including each of the past 3 match-ups. 

“Detroit 1-8-7” is bringing more viewers to ABC in the time period, up on average this season by 6% in Total Viewers (9.1 million vs. 8.6 million) from the same point a year ago.
