ABC's 'Nightline' No. 2 in total viewers week of September 6th

For the week of September 6, 2010, ABC News’ “Nightline is the No. 2 program among Adults 18-49 and Total Viewers and tied for second place among Adults 25-54, according to Nielsen Media Research. For the 22nd week in a row, “Nightline” outperformed CBS’ “Late Show with David Letterman” among Total Viewers, posting 3.36 million to “Letterman’s” 3.10 million — marking “Nightline’s” longest winning streak since 1999.


Additionally, ABC News’ “Nightline” continues to rank first for the full 2009-2010 season to date, with 3.72 million Total Viewers, outperforming the “Late Show with David Letterman” and NBC’s “Tonight Show.”

ABC News’ “Nightline” is anchored by Cynthia McFadden, Terry Moran and Bill Weir. John Donvan and Vicki Mabrey are correspondents. James Goldston is the executive producer. The program airs weeknights at 11:35 p.m., ET on the ABC Television Network.

*Please note: Due to the Labor Day holiday on Monday 9/06/10, all three programs were coded specials & excluded from the average. The weekly averages for all three programs are based on four days only (Tuesday-Friday).  Due to NFL Football on Thursday 9/9/10, “Tonight Show” aired late (12:13a).  The program had full duration & was included in the average.
