In fact as it gained audience from its first to second hour, ABC’s The Bachelor defeated Fox’s high-profile drama 24 in head-to-head competition from 9-10pm by 1.3 million viewers (12.0 million vs. 10.7 million) and by 30% in Adults 18-49 (4.3/10 vs. 3.3/8). For its 4th straight telecast, The Bachelor stood as Monday’s #1 TV program with Women 18-34.

Growing its Adult 18-49 audience (a season high) for its 2nd straight original telecast, ABC’s Castle finished a strong second to CBS’ CSI: Miami in the 10 o’clock hour, topping NBC’s Jay Leno by a best-ever 115%. The ABC sophomore drama ranked #1 in its time slot with Women 18-34, beating CSI: Miami for the first time ever. Castle hit a season-high rating with Adults 18-49 and marked a series-high with Adults 18-34.
