AccessHollywood.com scores 146% growth YOY

“Access Hollywood’s” website, AccessHollywood.com, experienced its highest monthly Unique Visitors ever, with an impressive +146% rise year-to-year from December 2008 to December 2009.


December 2009 was AccessHollywood.com’s most successful month to date. According to comScore data, the site posted its highest monthly Unique Visitors with 4.3 million, which beat Entertainment Weekly and Perez Hilton, among others.  AccessHollywood.com also delivered its highest monthly Visits with a record 5.8 million.   The Web site also continued its upward trend in December 2009, growing +154% in Visits versus December 2008. The death of Brittany Murphy as well as the Tiger Woods scandal figured prominently among
the stories that drove traffic to the Web site in December.

The month of December also brought a +107% increase in total minutes spent on AccessHollywood.com.  The average minutes per page also increased +93%, which show that in addition to more unique users visiting the Web site, they are also staying on the site longer and enjoying a more engaging, accessible experience.

AccessHollywood.com is a primary entertainment content provider for Yahoo’s omg!, the nation’s most-viewed entertainment news Web site.  The site also provides content for MSNBC, Hulu, AOL’s PopEater, NBC’s Local Media Division, TV Week and iVillage. AccessHollywood.com also has an iPhone application and a WAP site, which compose its mobile “Access2Go” platform.
