American Idol scores again for Fox

For the fourth time this week, the majority of broadcast programs saw declines. (Overall TV usage last night was flat week-over-week, so we are looking into this).


With a two-hour AMERICAN IDOL, FOX won the night among Adults 18-49, Total Viewers, Adults 18-34, Adults 25-54 and Teens.  In fact, FOX outperformed the #2 network for the night (CBS) by +52% in Adults 18-49 (5.0 vs. 3.3) and +23% in Total Viewers (16.5 vs. 13.4 Mil.).  
                                                                            
* AMERICAN IDOL: 5.0/13, down -14% from last week but ranked #1 for the night among Adults 18-49 (tied with Big Bang Theory), Total Viewers and Teens.
o In Total Viewers, IDOL beat the #2 program of the night (Big Bang Theory) by +6%  (16.5 vs. 15.5 Mil.)
o Last night’s IDOL grew by +13% in Adults 18-49 (5.2 vs. 4.6) and 11% in Total Viewers (16.7 vs. 15.0 Mil.)

Competition

ABC kicked off the night with Wipeout (1.5/4, flat), followed by Grey’s Anatomy (3.1/8), which fell -23% and tied is series low. At 10pm Private Practice (2.6/7) was up +18%.

CBS aired The Big Bang Theory (5.0/15, down -11%), Rob (3.2/9, down -3%), Person Of Interest (2.9/7, down -12%), and The Mentalist (2.8/7, down -7%).

Following 30 Rock (1.4/4, down -13%) and Parks & Recreation (1.7/5, flat), NBC’s The Office (2.2/6) dropped -12% and posted its lowest rating ever. An original Up All Night (1.5/4) dropped -12% and a repeat Grimm posted a 0.7/2.
