Citadel’s WMAL-AM released a statement 4/26 saying that its longtime morning host and traffic reporter Andy Parks is no longer with the station: “Andy Parks, a name synonymous with 630 WMAL for nearly 25 years as morning host and airborne traffic reporter, is no longer with us. Andy is an extraordinary talent, consummate professional and friend. Andy, we salute you and thank you for your immeasurable contributions to WMAL.”
Parks was co-host to Fred Grandy. Now WMAL’s morning schedule promotes Fred Grandy and Chris Plante at 6:00AM, and at 8:30 AM Plante goes solo. 10 AM to noon it’s Austin Hill, filling-in until a new host for that slot is secured.
