Educational Media Foundation, operator of the noncommercial K-LOVE Contemporary Christian network, is getting another station to add to its extensive and ever-growing portfolio. This one’s coming from another noncommercial Religious outfit, Way-FM Media Broadcasting.
The station is KWYQ-FM, licensed to Longview WA. It’s a Class A on 90.3 MHz, throwing 400 watts off of an 892’ tower HAAT.
The price of the deal is $200K, with $10K plunked into an escrow account and the remainder due in cash on closing day.
Longview is part of the Longview-Kelso market, not in the Arbitron universe but a member in good standing of the many markets receiving ratings from Eastlan. It is along the Columbia River across from Oregon and downriver from Portland OR.
