A slow motion deal is halfway home – George Beasley the individual bought a pair of Las Vegas FMs back in 2010 and turned their operation over to George Beasley’s Beasley Broadcast Group. Now the group owns one of the pair outright.

KOAS-FM is now officially a part of the group. It was acquired along with KVGS-FM back in 2010 by George Beasley, and he remains the owner of the latter station.

The stations came from Riviera Broadcast Group trustee Lee Shubert for $8.5M in a deal brokered by Michael Bergner. The deal was filed with the FCC 6/7/10. Beasley bought the stations specifically to put them in the hands of his company.

The company already had an AM and two FMs, and has effectively been running a one-AM, four-FM cluster since the Beasley 2010 acquisition.

Beasley stated, “The goal of purchasing KOAS-FM was to ultimately secure another FM signal for Beasley Broadcast’s already strongLas Vegascluster. With three solid FMs and a dynamic AM now in our Beasley Broadcast portfolio, and the management of BOB FM KVGS-FM firmly in place, I’m confident ourLas Vegas team of professionals will continue to accomplish excellent things under Tom Humm’s stellar leadership.”

VP/Market Manager Tom Humm added, “With each of the five radio stations in our cluster offering distinctive programming, we reach a wide variety of loyal listeners in theLas Vegasmarket.  Not only are we experiencing continued growth across the board, we’re especially proud to see that, under our management, the ratings and popularity of 105.7 The Oasis and BOB FM KVGS-FM have risen consistently over the last 12 months.  Our team works tirelessly to provide unique community events and to support charitable causes all across the Las Vegas valley, and we’re honored and thrilled to see more and more local Las Vegas listeners turning their radio dials to 105.7 The Oasis, 107.9 BOB FM, 96.3 KKLZ, 102.7 The Coyote and NewsTalk 720 KDWN.”
