OneMain Financial and Bob Kingsley’s Country Top 40, repped by Dial Global, announced the winner of the CT40 Future Star contest – Katy Keenie.  She edged out over 150 contestants to win the top prize, which includes a Music Row recording session with Trifectone Music Group; a meeting with superstar Ronnie Dunn and executives from Sony Music Nashville/Arista Records; a meeting with a William Morris agent and a performance at Country Radio Seminar 2012 in front of radio programmers from all over the country.

Originally from Canada, Katy Keenie now calls Texas her home, where she’s been singing since high school.  Counting artists like Faith Hill, Lee Ann Womack and Alison Krauss for inspiration, Keenie’s four-octave range and high-energy stage presence led to her becoming one of the Top 10 vote-getters in CT40 Future Star fan-voted competition.

“I couldn’t be happier to announce Katy Keenie as the winner of this competition,” said Kingsley. “Katy is an amazing talent, so I’m proud to share her voice with the world.  I’m looking forward to the day that I’ll be hearing her music on my countdown show. I’d also like to thank our contest sponsor, OneMain Financial, for making Katy’s dream a reality.”
