"Brian & Chris" move timeslot at 'RXP

101.9 RXP (WRXP) “The New York Rock Experience” announced that overnight team “Brian and Chris” move on 5/17 to weeknights 7p-midnight, a shift previously left open after station Music Director, Brian Phillips, moved into afternoons.   “From the Basement with Brian & Chris” has been airing overnights on 101.9 RXP for the past year featuring two staffers who had stepped into the role.


“Brian and Chris live and breathe the music and have been integral parts of 101.9 RXP since its launch,” said 101.9 RXP PD Leslie Fram.  “Don’t ever let it be said that you can’t find treasures in the basement!”

Along with  being the voices behind “From the Basement” on 101.9 RXP, Brian D’Aurelio is the Director of Marketing and Digital Media and Chris Nadler is the Lifestyle Engagement Director for the Emmis New York Cluster including WRXP and sister stations Hot 97 and 98.7 Kiss FM. 

D’Aurelio is the Director of Marketing and Digital Media at Emmis New York and has held various on and off-air duties during his 15 years in radio, starting in afternoons in his small hometown outside of Cleveland and working his way to Chicago (Rock 103.5 & 97.9 The Loop) and eventually New York (Q104.3, Z100).  He currently directs marketing and digital branding in New York at Hot 97, 98.7 Kiss FM and has been an integral part of the team that inspired and built 101.9 RXP. 

Nadler is the Lifestyle Engagement Director at Emmis New York and is a music industry veteran with a diverse rock background including stints as writer and editor for Creeme Magazine, Associate Editor at Request Magazine and Artist Management on tours with icons such as Paul Simon and Elton John.  Chris currently directs marketing partnerships and event sponsorships at Hot 97, 98.7 Kiss FM and 101.9 RXP.
