For the second consecutive year, a charity motorcycle event organized by Bubba the Love Sponge will provide funds to assist the families of three Florida law enforcement officers who were killed in the line of duty.

“Bubba’s Bikes for Badges” (www.bubbasbikesforbadges.com) will raise funds for the families of Dixie County Sheriff’s Office Captain Chad Reed, who was shot and killed during a shootout in January;  St. Johns County Deputy James Anderson, Jr., who was killed in an auto accident involving an intoxicated driver in January; and Florida Highway Patrol trooper Patrick Ambroise, who was killed last week when his patrol vehicle was hit by another driver on the Florida Turnpike.

The event takes place this Saturday, May 22 from 10 am to 2 pm ET at Jim’s Harley-Davidson, 2805 54th Avenue North in St. Petersburg, Florida, and will feature a motorcycle ride, a silent auction with memorabilia donated by various athletes and celebrities, a 50/50 raffle, a poker crawl with a $2,500 cash prize, a bike show, and a bikini bike wash. Registration for riders will open at 8:30 am.
