The American Cable Association says if Sinclair buys Allbritton television stations, it will have too much market power in two specific DMAs and therefore must be blocked by the FCC.
The markets of concern are Charlotte NC and Wilkes-Barre/Scranton PA, where Sinclair will have de facto control of two Big Four affiliates via SSA/JSA arrangements with second party broadcast licensees.
