CBS weekly winning streak goes 6 in a row w/ viewers

CBS placed first in viewers for the sixth consecutive week and also scored its sixth straight Sunday win in all measures behind THE 45TH ANNUAL ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending April 18, week 30 of the 2009-2010 television season.


“The 45th Annual Academy of Country Music Awards” Sweeps its Time Period, Leading CBS to its Sixth Straight Nightly Win in all Ratings Measures.”Two and a Half Men” is the Top Scripted Series in Viewers.

“The Big Bang Theory” is the Number One Comedy in Adults 18-49 and Adults 25-54.

“Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains” is Thursday’s Number One Program in Adults 18-49; “CSI” is First in Viewers.

CBS placed first in viewers for the sixth consecutive week and also scored its sixth straight Sunday win in all measures behind THE 45TH ANNUAL ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for the week ending April 18, week 30 of the 2009-2010 television season.
 
TWO AND A HALF MEN was the week’s number one scripted series in viewers while THE BIG BANG THEORY was the top comedy in both adults 25-54 and adults 18-49.  Additionally, SURVIVOR was Thursday’s top program in key demos with CSI topping the night in viewers. 
 
For the week in viewers: CBS (9.20m), FOX (8.53m), ABC (7.76m) and NBC (5.71m).  Season-to-date, CBS is first in viewers (11.98m), ahead of FOX (10.02m), NBC (8.59m) and ABC (8.56m). 

 For the week in key demographics, CBS was second in both adults 25-54 (3.1/08) and adults 18-49 (2.3/07).  Season to-date, CBS is first in adults 25-54 (4.1/10, tied with FOX) and second in adults 18-49 (3.2/09).

 For the week in households: CBS (5.8/10), FOX (5.1/09), ABC (5.0/09) and NBC (3.6/06).  In households season-to-date, CBS is first (7.3/12), ahead of FOX (5.8/09), ABC (5.4/09) and NBC (5.3/09). 
 
 CBS’s Weekly Highlights:
 
  TWO AND A HALF MEN was second in households (8.3/13), viewers (13.71m), adults 25-54 (5.8/14) and adults 18-49 (4.7/13).  It was the week’s number one program in viewers. 
 
THE BIG BANG THEORY was second in households (7.9/12), viewers (13.39m), adults 25-54 (6.1/14), adults 18-49 (5.1/13) and adults 18-34 (3.6/11).    THE BIG BANG THEORY was the week’s number one comedy in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54. 
  
On Thursday, CBS was first in households (7.6/13), viewers (12.32m), adults 25-54 (4.2/12) and adults 18-49 (3.1/09).  CBS swept these measures for the fifth straight Thursday. 
 
 SURVIVOR: HEROES VS. VILLAINS was first in households (7.1/13), viewers (12.31m), adults 25-54 (4.9/14) and adults 18-49 (3.8/12).   SURVIVOR: HEROES VS. VILLAINS was the night’s number one program in adults 25-54 and adults 18-49.
 
 CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION was first in households (8.1/14), viewers (13.19m), adults 25-54 (4.2/11) and adults 18-49 (3.0/09).  CSI: CRIME SCENE INVESTIGATION was the night’s number one program in viewers.
On Sunday, CBS was first in households (7.6/13), viewers (12.53m), adults 25-54 (3.8/10) and adults 18-49 (2.8/08).  CBS swept these measures for the sixth consecutive Sunday.  CBS won every half-hour on Sunday in viewers and adults 25-54. 
 
 THE 45th ANNUAL ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS (S) (8:00-11:02PM) was first in households (7.7/13), viewers (13.02m), adults 25-54 (4.2/10), adults 18-49 (3.2/08) and adults 18-34 (2.1/06).  This year’s event outperformed the 2008 and 2007 ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS in households, viewers, adults 25-54 and adults 18-49.  THE ACADEMY OF COUNTRY MUSIC AWARDS was the night’s number one program in viewers and adults 25-54.
