“NCIS: Los Angeles” Wins Time Period in Viewers and Adults 25-54, Posting Week-to-Week Gains in all Ratings Measures

“The Good Wife” Wins at 10:00 PM in Viewers and Key Demographics

“Late Show with David Letterman” and “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson” Post Late Night Metered Market Victories

CBS placed first on Tuesday in viewers and second in key demographics behind strong performances by NCIS (19.5 million viewers), NCIS: LOS ANGELES (16.93m) and THE GOOD WIFE (13.91m), according to Nielsen preliminary live plus same day ratings for March 9.

At 8:00 PM, NCIS was second in households (12.0/19), viewers (19.50m), adults 25-54 (5.5/14) and adults 18-49 (3.8/11) opposite “American Idol.”
 
At 9:00 PM, NCIS: LOS ANGELES was first in households (10.3/16), viewers (16.93m), adults 25-54 (4.9/12) and second in adults 18-49 (3.5/09).  Compared to last week, NCIS: LOS ANGELES was up +12% in households (from 9.2/14), +11% in adults 25-54 (from 4.4/10), +13% in adults 18-49 (from 3.1/08) and added +2.09m viewers (from 14.84m, +14%). 
 
THE GOOD WIFE was first in households (9.0/16), viewers (13.91m), adults 25-54 (4.1/11) and adults 18-49 (2.8/08).  Compared to last week, THE GOOD WIFE was up +6% in households (from 8.5/15), +8% in adults 25-54 (from 3.8/10), +4% in adults 18-49 (from 2.7/08) and added +590,000 viewers (from 13.32m, +4%). 
 
For the night, CBS was first in households (10.4/17) and viewers (16.78m); the Network was second in adults 25-54 (4.9/12) and adults 18-49 (3.4/09).      

In late night, LATE SHOW with DAVID LETTERMAN, featuring Julianna Margulies, grocery bagging champion Kyle Perry and musical guest Broken Bells, delivered a 3.5/09 in the 56 Nielsen metered markets.  LATE SHOW beat “The Tonight Show” by +0.3 rating points (vs. 3.2/08, +9%).

THE LATE LATE SHOW with CRAIG FERGUSON, with guests Lisa Kudrow and Adhir Kalyan, earned a 1.6/06 in the 56 metered markets, topping “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon” by +0.2 rating points (vs. 1.4/05, +14%).
