All five Nashville Clear Channel Nashville radio stations banned together 5/4 to simulcast a Radiothon for the Tennessee Emergency Response Fund of The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee.

WLAC (NewsRadio1510), WNRQ (1059 The Rock), WSIX (BIG 98 Country), WRVW (1075 The River) and WUBT (1011 The Beat Jamz) and their personalities joined together for a very unique 19 hour marathon broadcast.

During the broadcast each stations’ personalities went on the air with those of sister stations to allow listeners to share their stories of The Great Flood while generating phone and web donations.  With the help of 5/3 Bank, Logan’s Road House, Security Solutions, The Clear Channel Foundation and hundreds of listeners, The Radiothon generated more than $240,000 that will be used to aid victims throughout all of Middle Tennessee and Southern Kentucky.

Said Operations Manager, Rich Davis: “We have a lot of fun on these stations, give away a lot of cool stuff and provide content, information, and music that enrich the lives of our audiences but none of that compares to what we were able to accomplish with the Radiothon to help our community.  Kudos to my team and our great listeners.”

Additional donations are expected throughout the month from pledges and challenges called in during the Radiothon.
