Coastal California FM Sold

SoldEDB VV License an El Dorado Broadcasters are selling a California FM. KSLY-FM is licensed to San Louis Obispo, on the coast between Monterey and Santa Barbara.

Educational Media Foundation is the buyer and intends to ask the commission for authority to convert KSLY to a non-commercial station. EMF also seeks a waiver so it can relocate the main studio nearly 230 miles to KLVR(FM), Middleton, California.

EMF wants to operate KSLY as a satellite station of its “K-Love Radio Network.”

The total price is $350,000, less a $17,500 deposit. The balance is to be paid by wire transfer at closing.

“96.1 SLO Country” KSLY is a Class B FM with an ERP of 3,600 watts @ 1,647’ HAAT. The station is off the air; the seller asked the FCC for an STA while it evaluates its stations in the market, according to FCC paperwork.
