Comcast launches two Spanish-language channels in HD

Just in time for the kickoff of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, Comcast announced the launch of the high-def versions of two popular Spanish-language broadcast networks throughout the Greater Boston area. Comcast with HD television service will be able to view Boston’s Univision (WUNI-TV) and TeleFutura (WUTF-TV) in crystal-clear HD. Univision and TeleFutura hold the Spanish-language broadcast rights for the World Cup in the US and will broadcast live all 64 games of the tournament, which is taking place in South Africa from June 11 to July 11.


Comcast will also be delivering soccer fans a multi-platform experience to enjoy the tournament that includes live games in 3D from ESPN 3D, games On Demand the day after they air in both English and Spanish as well as online coverage.
