That didn’t take long – House Judiciary Committee Chairman John Conyers (D-MI) has barely let the ink dry on the Supreme Court ruling on corporate and union campaign speech before setting up a hearing on the matter. A hearing on “The First Amendment and Campaign Finance Reform After Citizens United” is scheduled for Wednesday, 2/3/10 at 10AM Eastern. The Judiciary’s Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights, and Civil Liberties will entertain the witnesses, who have not yet been identified. The Subcommittee is chaired by Jerrold Nadler (D-NY) with Jim Sensenbrenner Jr. (R-WI) serving as Ranking Member.
