Cumulus takes the Co out of Co-COO

CumulusAfter 45 years in the industry, Cumulus Co-COO Jonathan Pinch will retire effective the end of November. The other Co-COO, John Dickey, will transition to EVP of Content and Programming. The search is on for another exec position.

Towards that end, we have strategically broadened the Company’s scope and now have in place differentiated distribution channels and multiple content development platforms. To accelerate our plans, we are putting in place a new organizational structure to reflect the Company’s strategic evolution, bringing clarity, focus and accountability to key leadership roles in both our station and network groups.”

John Dickey will be in charge of all content, including stations, Westwood One, Nash and Rdio.

Cumulus sales exec Steve Shaw will head up Westwood One.

A headhunter is looking to fill the role of EVP Radio, which will oversee daily radio operations for the 460 stations in the group.
