Curtis Media closes on Charlotte translator

MSG-Media Services Group1Eastern Airwaves, LLC, an affiliate of Curtis Media, Inc. has closed on the purchase of the CP for FM Translator Station W234BY (94.7) Charlotte, NC from Mary Medicus. The purchase price is $165,000. The translator was 10 Watts @ 389 feet HAAT and rebroadcast Davidson County Broadcasting’s WWLV-FM (K-Love Religious programming) Lexington, KY. Davidson has been trying for years to get a new 1,190-ft. tower built closer to Charlotte.


The original deal was put together in November. Bob Heymann of the Chicago office of Media Services Group served as the exclusive broker representing the buyer in this transaction. He tells RBR-TVBR: “This is an acquisition in a terrific growth market which expands Curtis Media’s footprint.”
