Dallas Nau to run NRG Media/Tri-Cities

NRGNRG Media announced new leadership for its top-rated radio cluster in the Tri-Cities, Nebraska metro area of Kearney, Grand Island, and Hastings. Veteran broadcaster Dallas Nau has been named Market Manager of the five-station group of KQKY-FM, KRNY-FM, KROR-FM, KSYZ-FM, and KGFW-AM. He starts 3/3.


NRG COO Chuck DuCoty made the announcement: “Dallas has proven talents in leading a television sales organization, but has the radio acumen in programming that our team requires. His vast leadership skills will help to propel our entire organization to new heights in ratings, service to the community, and advertiser engagement. Dallas is a local talent that has dedicated his entire career to the needs of the Tri-Cities communities and that is very meaningful to a company like NRG that is so deeply committed to providing great local radio to our audience.”

Nau spent the past decade at NTV in Nebraska serving in multiple capacities, most recently as the company’s General Sales Manager for KHGI-TV (ABC) and KFXL-TV (FOX) for the past five years. Prior to that, he served as Local Sales Manager from 2007-2009, and as a Senior Regional Account Executive at the two stations from 2006-2007. He worked in sales at KLKN-TV in Lincoln, NE and at KMTV in Omaha in the early to mid-2000’s.

Nau launched his broadcasting career in radio in Nebraska working in programming. He was the VP of Operations at then “Radio One Broadcasting” in Lincoln and was an on-air talent in 1987 at KWMG-FM and KTTT-AM where he served as the cluster’s Operations Manager, Program Director and on-air talent for five years in Columbus, NE.

Mr. Nau currently serves as a board member for the FOX Sales Action Committee.

NRG currently operates 45 radio stations in Iowa, Nebraska, Wisconsin and Illinois.
