The National Association of Media Brokers (NAMB) surprised one of their own with a special honor this week at their meeting in Las Vegas. The NAMB presented Dick Foreman of Richard A. Foreman Associates a Certificate of Recognition for his humanitarian efforts after the devastating earthquake in Haiti.

“When word of the earthquake and resulting humanitarian crisis in Haiti reached Foreman in Stamford, Connecticut, he sprang into action and made his aviation skills available to humanitarian agencies from the greater New York area. Dick piloted his Pilatus turboprop aircraft in a relief caravan of physicians and medical supplies to a small airfield in Haiti north of its capital,” the citation stated.

“This unselfish assistance was nothing new for Dick. He has been a tireless fundraiser for the Broadcasters Foundation of America, a group dedicated to helping broadcasters in times of financial stress. And, in the wake of Hurricane Katrina, Dick made a large personal donation to assist broadcasters in the areas affected,” NAMB said.

The citation was also read at the Broadcasters Foundation of America breakfast during the NAB Show in Las Vegas.
