Media General has named Don Pratt Vice President and General Manager of WCBD-TV, Media General’s NBC affiliate in Charleston, SC, effective 4/21. This appointment marks a return to the Charleston market for Pratt, who served as news director of WCSC-TV, the CBS affiliate in Charleston, from 2001-2005.

Since July 2012, Pratt has been vice president and general manager of KBOI-TV and KYUU-TV in Boise, Idaho, where he led the station to its highest average local news ratings in five years. Prior to that, Mr. Pratt served for six years as news director of KATU-TV in Portland, Oregon. In his 24 years in the broadcast industry, he has served at several stations, including WHDH-TV in Boston, WCSC-TV in Charleston, and KGO-TV in San Francisco.
