Done deal in Washington DC

The sale of WWRC-AM from Washington Redskins honcho Dan Snyder’s Red Zebra Radio to Salem Communications Corporation, headed by Stuart W. Epperson and Edward G. Atsinger Jr., is officially on the books.


According to broker Greg Guy of Patrick Communications, the price was $3.1M. The station will take Salem to three stations in the market, joining the group’s WAVA AM-FM combo.

Red Zebra retains eight other stations including stations in Washington, D.C., Richmond and Norfolk.
