Down syndrome actress pushes back against Palin

A recent episode of Fox’s “Family Guy” featured a Down syndrome woman said to be the child of the governor of Alaska, which provoked a response from Sarah Palin and her daughter Bristol.

But it turns out the actor playing the part is in fact a Down syndrome victim who criticized the Palins’ lack a sense of humor.

Andrea Fay Friedman, who played the part in question, instead attacked Palin for carrying her own son around “like a loaf of French bread” to forward her own political purposes.

Friedman said she thought the Alaska reference was funny. “I guess former Governor Palin does not have a sense of humor. “I thought the line ‘I am the daughter of the former governor of Alaska’ was very funny. I think the word is ‘sarcasm.’”
