Duck DynastyA&E’s “Duck Dynasty’s” Robertson family, facing a firestorm over patriarch Phil Robertson’s (67) derogatory comments about homosexuality in a recent GQ Magazine interview, say they may quit the show. A&E was hit by a backlash 12/19 as religious and conservative groups criticized it for suspending Robertson indefinitely.

The response is prompted A&E to suspend Robertson indefinitely: “Phil’s decision to push vile and extreme stereotypes is a stain on A&E and his sponsors,” said the gay activist group GLAAD.

In a statement released 12/19 on the www.duckcommander.com, the family hinted that if Robertson is kicked off the show, the entire clan of Louisiana  millionaires might pack up their duck calls and call it a day: “Phil would never incite or encourage hate. We have had a successful working relationship with A&E but, as a family, we cannot imagine the show going forward without our patriarch at the helm.”
