Easy 'FOX' Tuesday win w/ ‘American Idol’ 2 hours, straight #1

The Top 10 performed on AMERICAN IDOL last night, drawing a 7.5/21 among Adults 18-49 and easily winning the night among Adults 18-49, Total Viewers, Adults 18-34, Teens and all key demos. FOX showed an advantage over its nearest competitor of +127% among Adults 18-49, +119% among Adults 18-34, +254% among Teens and +103% in Total Viewers.


Last night’s AMERICAN IDOL was down -11% from last Tuesday among Adults 18-49, but the show remains on par with its average during the same weeks last season (Most Current ratings vs. comparable Most Current), showing 94% retention among Adults 18-49, 94% among Adults 18-34, 96% among Teens and 95% in Total Viewers.
 

Competition
ABC’s Dancing With The Stars posted a 2.9/9, delivering the largest ever drop from the performance show’s premiere to its first results show in DWTS’ history (-55% vs. 6.4/17 on 3/22/10).  At 9p, Lost (4.0/10) fell -13% from its prior average (4.6/12) while the return of new drama V (2.9/8) delivered its lowest rating to date at 10p (excluding clip shows), down -6% from its last regular original telecast on 11/24/09 and down -24% from its average last fall (3.8/10).

CBS aired repeats of NCIS (2.1/6), NCIS: LA (2.0/5) and The Good Wife (1.4/4).

NBC’s The Biggest Loser (2.8/8) matched its lowest regular original of the season, falling -7% from last week’s delivery and -20% from its spring average (3.5/9).  At 10p, week five of new drama Parenthood (2.5/7) was down -7% from last week.
