Two big transactions fueled the bottom line as November segued into December. The biggest was an eight-market, ten station television group sale to Bonten Media Group. Two cluster sales from CBS Radio, to Peak in Fresno and Curtis in Greensboro, accounted for most of the week's value.

TV Deal of the Week
Blue Stone turns into Diamond
That's Blue Stone Television is turning into Bonten Media Group, backed by Diamond Castle Holdings. The upshot is that 230M worth of television properties, including 10 stations in eight markets, is changing hands. Randy Bongarten will head up the buyer.

Radio Deal of the Week
CBS spins out of Fresno
A seven station radio cluster, including five FMs, is going to Todd Lawley's Peak Broadcasting LLC. The transaction will send 90M back to CBS Radio as it continues its spin-off of some of its smaller radio markets - it also filed to sell three Greensboro/Winston-Salem AMs this week.
