Shooting in Emmis' New York studios

Police are investigating a shooting Monday night inside the lobby of Emmis' WQHT-FM New York. A member of the posse of rapper 50 Cent was shot in the leg after 50 Cent announced on the air that he was dropping The Game from his hip-hop clique, G-Unit. The victim received a wound to his leg and was hospitalized. It's the second time that a shooting has taken place at WQHT. A bodyguard for Lil' Kim was sentenced to 12 years in prison for a 2001 shooting at the station.

Bitman moves to TM Century

TM Century has acquired the representation and marketing rights to the Bitman comedy and show prep service from Folger Entertainment Company. Bitman is owned and produced by David Evjen of Honolulu.

Patrick honored by BEA

The Broadcast Education Association has named Larry Patrick to receive its 2005 Distinguished Education Service Award. He is the President of Patrick Communications, a broadcast brokerage firm, and Legend Communications, which owns and/or operates 17 radio stations in Wyoming, Ohio and Missouri.
