Michael Qseng dies in Thailand

Former KQMQ Honolulu morning DJ Michael Qseng, whose real name was Michael Jones, died of a heart attack while visiting Thailand. Qseng left radio in the late 90s and had been running an Internet-based travel agency from the Netherlands.

Rather leaving radio as well

When Dan Rather signs off from his last "CBS Evening News" on TV this Wednesday (3/9), he'll be saying goodbye to his daily radio commentary on CBS Radio as well. A CBS News spokeswoman told the New York Daily News that it was Rather's decision to end the 90-second radio commentaries and that CBS Radio wanted him to continue "Dan Rather Reporting." Once he leaves the anchor chair, Rather is to continue reporting for the network and to appear on "60 Minutes Wednesday," although the show's survival beyond this season is in doubt.
