SNTA President DeWitt to tour advertisers/agencies

Syndicated Network Television Association President Gene DeWitt is embarking on a tour next week to 34 TV advertisers and agencies that haven't been using syndicated TV as much as they could or should be. First the agencies, and then Proctor & Gamble, Johnson & Johnson, McDonald's, Burger King Corp, Visa, The Gap, Microsoft, Coca Cola, the movie companies, Pepsi, Taco Bell-KFC.

"Basically, syndication needs a higher profile and to be more top-of-mind among media decision-makers, especially clients and media planners," DeWitt tells TVBR. "I think the buyers are very familiar with syndication, but in fact, I think there's a generation of planners and clients who are not familiar with syndication-so it's our job to make them familiar."

SNTA will be holding a sales conference next year that takes the part of NATPE that was devoted to syndication sales and moves it to NYC-2/25-2/26 at the NY Sheraton. For info call SNTA at 212-259-3740.
