Opening the door for radio programs and networks to compete in more categories, The Webby Awards has kicked off its annual call for entries with 35 new categories-more than doubling the number of awards it will bestow.

Steve Shannon and DC Chymes announced they've successfully negotiated ownership of their syndicated program, "The Steve and DC Morning Show", after a multi-year co-ownership relationship with Emmis. Now syndicating the show independently in concert with their longtime partner Syndicated Solutions, Inc. - (SSI), this important procurement enables Steve, DC and SSI to fully shape the winning focus and direction of the popular morning show as it prepares for a full roll-out. Steve and DC are currently heard on over 35 stations each Monday-Friday, 6a-10a ET, including Dallas, Washington, DC, Minneapolis, St. Louis, Pittsburgh, Nashville, Grand Rapids, Birmingham, Memphis, Wilkes-Barre, Little Rock, Lincoln, Baton Rouge, Paducah and others.
