WCWG-TV in Greensboro-Winston Salem carries CW programming. But under terms of a new agreement, it will start carrying Liberman Broadcasting’s Hispanic network, Estrella TV, on a digital side channel.

According to Liberman, the DMA ranks #53 in the nation in terms of Hispanic viewership, with over 37K Hispanic households.

WCWG is owned by TTBG Greensboro OpCo, LLC, a subsidiary of New World TV Group, which earlier bought the station from bankrupt Pappas Telecasting. It is operated by Titan Broadcast Management.

Liberman CEO Lenard Liberman commented, “North Carolina is a new territory for Estrella TV and we look forward to enriching the community with our refreshing news and entertainment, in addition to providing advertisers with a unique platform to engage a coveted demographic. Broadcast affiliate partners like TTBG are welcoming the diversity of Estrella TV programming and seeking out the network to include as part of their digital offerings.”
