CBS News’ FACE THE NATION tied (with NBC) for first in adults 25-54, according to Nielsen live plus same day ratings for Sunday, Oct. 31. CBS posted its largest audience since June 6, 2010 and best adults 25-54 rating since July 25, 2010. FACE THE NATION delivered a 2.0/05 with 2.86m viewers, 0.8/04 in adults 25-54 and 1.0/04 in “boomers” adults 35-54. This marks the fifteenth time in 17 weeks that the broadcast has beat ABC in viewers.
Compared to the same day last year, FACE THE NATION was up +18% in households (from 1.7/04), +14% in both viewers (from 2.52m) and adults 25-54 (from 0.7/03) and +11% in “boomers,” adults 35-54 (from 0.9/03).
On the broadcast, Bob Schieffer interviewed White House Counterterrorism Adviser John Brennan; Representative Peter King, R-New York; Senator Amy Klobuchar, D-Minnesota; Governor Tim Pawlenty, R-Minnesota; and Governor Ed Rendell, D-Pennsylvania.
