FCC JSA filings just about due

0

FCCAs part of its policy of considering stations party to a JSA as attributable to the service-providing entity, the FCC needs for all such arrangements over a certain level to be reported. The reports are due in about a month.

A JSA’d station is deemed attributable if the brokering station sells 15% or more of the station’s weekly advertising. If that much or more of the ad time is sold, the brokered station counts toward the brokering station’s ownership total.

It is required to file the contracts underlying these agreements with the FCC.

All agreements in place as of 10/28/14 must have paperwork in to the FCC by 11/28/14.

The FCC was kind enough to issue a reminder that the agreements must also be placed in the public inspection files of both stations.
