New Date For FCC Post-Auction Transition Webinar

0

A webinar on the proposed post-incentive auction transition scheduling plan to be hosted by the FCC’s Incentive Auction Task Force (IATF), in conjunction with the Media Bureau, Wireless Telecommunications Bureau, and Office of Engineering and Technology, has been moved from Thursday, Oct. 13 to Monday, Oct. 17.

The three-hour webinar will be held from 1 p.m. Eastern to 4 p.m. Eastern.

The webinar will feature commission staff providing an overview of the proposed plan; FCC staff will discuss related matters raised in the Transition Scheduling PN.

The rescheduling of the webinar was prompted by the scheduling of the IEEE Broadcast Technology Society’s annual Broadcast Symposium, which is being held from Oct. 12-14, resulting in a conflict for webinar participants.

Pre-registration for the webinar is not required. The webinar will be streamed live with open captioning over the Internet from the FCC’s web page. The webinar slides will be posted on the broadcast incentive auction website’s Resources page prior to the start of the webinar. Individuals will be able to access the slides under the Notices/Guidance tab. If possible, parties are encouraged to download and/or print out a copy in advance for the participant’s reference during the webinar. A recording of the webinar will also be made available after the event and accessible at the same location as the webinar slides.

During the webinar, viewers may email event-related questions to [email protected].

When submitting questions, participants should be mindful of the FCC’s prohibited communications rule, which prohibits broadcasters and forward auction applicants from communicating any incentive auction applicant’s bids or bidding strategies to other parties covered by the relevant rules.
