FCC proposes revisions to EAS rules

FCCPeter Gutmann at Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice, LLP, notes that the changes are in response to its first nationwide EAS test held on 11/9/11 and are intended to enhance the reliability, utility and reach of the EAS, so as to provide the public with timely and accurate emergency alerts:
