The Fed announced plans to pump about $600 billion into the economy by buying US Treasury bonds. That was pretty much what Wall Street expected to hear from the Fed meeting, but it was still good news. The Dow Jones Industrial average moved up 26 points, or 0.2%, to 11,215. Broadcasting stocks also gained.
The RBR Radio Index was up 0.758, or 0.3%, to 276.556.
The TVBR Television Index was up 0.359, or 0.2%, to 200.759.
