I had the privilege of working with Ira on a daily basis for the past 3 years. Ira was the Director of Affiliate Relations for Radio Deluxe with John Pizzarelli. His enthusiasm, positive attitude and willingness were a huge asset to Radio Deluxe. I am grateful to have known Ira and for all he contributed to our organization. He was a true professional and a lovely human being. I miss him terribly.

I've known Ira since the 1980s, when I was News/Talk Editor at Radio & Records. With his background in talk radio Ira was, of course, an invaluable source of expert opinion for me. We have stayed in touch ever since, and I will miss his friendship, his thorough decency, his dry wit, his professionalism, his enthusiasm, and his wide ranging curiosity. How fortunate I was to call him my friend.

Ira was a short man so his shoes turned up at the toes. He was a quiet, intelligent man, so people listened to him. He was a true broadcaster, so people respected him. He was an amusing man, so people laughed with him. He was a kind man, so people loved him. I had the pleasure from 1967-72 at KDKA. Jim Horne
