As a longtime ABC affiliate, I'm hopeful this all works out.It appears they stumbled badly in not having devoloped years ago a "plan B" when Paul Harvey passed away, and taken some advantage of that franchise. We've been forunate in getting answers to our concerns, but any communication reminds me of working with a bloated government bureaucracy. From my standpoint, someone needs to come in and downsize/streamline the overlapping programs, and get to work on affiliate relations, and building the base back up.

Dear Harold,The stock is at nine cents. The money has already been sucked away from shareholders. A once proud, and I might add, profitable company is on it's knees due to greed and a ponderous ego. Farid is here to stay and it is what it is.....

I have a suggestion for increasing profits made by Citadel. Practically every car and truck in America has a radio. The number of those cars and trucks traveling more than 75 miles away from their starting point on any given day must be huge. Many drivers don’t turn on their radios – or soon turn them off -- because stations they tune into soon are out of range. So instead people play CD’s, purchase satellite radio, or simply drive in silence. The Radio Network portion of Citadel already produces a variety of programs. The problem is that a driver cannot tune into a selected program and have it stay strong. Soon it is out of range. It seems to me that Citadel is in a unique position to make it possible for selected frequencies to stay strong regardless of location. Several frequencies of this type – with different types of program on each frequency -- would give drivers a chance to select a station and then listen to that station as long as they want. Advertisers should be easy to attract to such a system given the large number of potential listeners.
