This IS ignorance. And Kornheiser is the epitome of self-centered stupidity. It's all about HIS streets. The sad thing is the way these comments encourage other selfish morons to feel that their views of cyclists (joggers, skiers, etc.) are validated and acceptable. How would Kornheiser feel if some dim-wit took his advice and ran down one of Kornheiser's children when they were out on their bike?

Tony joins Howard,Jimmy the Gk,and the other insensitives who fail to recognize there is no mercy for making comments about the weaker vessels regardless of their clothing or little water bottles. As a biker before the discovery of anti-depressers and spandex I am already offended by this new bunch of peddlers with their drugs and attire. Tony its with great pain that I must say you're not going to make it without some more meds and your own exploratory journey to the alternative lifestyle of the narrower path of enlightenment on the very paths you, like me loathe.

O.K., I haven't heard the rant ... but I've watched Tony on PTI on ESPN for years and I'm pretty sure his tirade against cyclists was tongue in cheek and meant to be funny and outrageous.Does anyone have a sense of humor anymore? Or have we entered an age where political correctness ruins everyone's fun? I know. Stupid question. But can just lighten up a little?

Well I can see why he was suspended, that was a pretty big rant. I understand his point of view, bikers can sometimes be in the way while driving, they sometimes scare me because I'm afraid of hitting them. But that still doesn't give Kornheiser the right to bash them. I think new biker lanes will sure help with safety, for both bikers and cars.
