Hello. ALL four networks are support changing the deadline. RBR and the NAB need to get on board. Next step, pick the new date. . . first Monday in May (May 4) might be an easy way to promote the date.

Stupid?? How about the consolidation that the NAB lobbied for and the fact that the NAB continues to lobby hard for more consolidation (which is the opposite of what is needed). As a person who works with/for the major consolidators, I can confidently say that radio’s corporate heads make the big three Detroit auto maker CEOs look like geniuses. Unfortunately, RBR seems to happily lap up and support every position put forth by the NAB, including additional consolidation and their opposition to the Obama administration. This DTV issue is just the tip of the iceberg. Happy sailing.

Those other issues have nothing to do with this. Delaying the Feb. 17th date will result in massive consumer confusion and undo months and months of work by broadcasters and the FCC to make this transition work.RBR/TVBR doesn't always agree with NAB, but this time they happen to be right.Jack Messmer, Executive EditorRBR/TVBR
