											<content type="html">The Networks used to pay compensation to affiliates that distributed their product...then its was reversed and the affiliates pay for programming (and its no longer exclusive or perhaps as valuable because they give it away on the Internet)...now the Net&amp;#039;s want a slice of whatever fees the affiliates might get from cable. Fact is, without the affiliates and their preferred channel positions and massive local promotion, the Big 4 would be nothing more than just another also-ran cable net--and, they&amp;#039;d have to program 24/7, not depending upon the affiliates to program the weakest hours...</content>
