David has become mean spirited, especially when it comes to republicans and conservatives. In the same monologue he jabbed Brown twice and took another cheap shot at Sarah Palin for accepting a speaking fee at the Tea PArty meeting / convention. (I am not a Sarah Palin fan but Letterman may convince me to rethink.)
